WHAT MAKES ROGER FEDERER, ROGER FEDERER

Federer just announced that he will miss few tournaments this season in Dubai, Bogota, Miami, Indian Wells and Roland Garros due to knee injury and decided to have arthroscopic surgery. He will not be back until the grass-court season in June at the earliest. Well the news just came out yesterday and I've already missed him 😭 so in honor of those lonely months to come, I'd like to write all the nicest things about him today. The things that make me admire him much more than just a tennis player. The things that make Roger Federer, Roger Federer.

2 minggu lalu, Jumat 7 Februari 2020, Roger Federer baru aja ngadain exhibition match yang diberi tajuk Match in Africa 6 bareng Rafael Nadal, Bill Gates dan Trevor Noah di Cape Town, Afrika Selatan, dimana semua keuntungan dari pertandingan itu akan diberikan untuk The Roger Federer Foundation. Acara ini suksessss besar dengan terkumpulnya lebih dari 3,5 juta dollar amerika (itu banyak bgt!!) di akhir acara huhuhuhu nangiiiissss I'M SO PROUD!!!!! 😭😭💛💛💛

Here's a little background of what The Roger Federer Foundation is.
The Roger Federer Foundation berdiri sejak tahun 2003. Fokus utamanya adalah to support early education for little kids in South Africa and Switzerland. Kenapa milih Afrika Selatan? Pertama, fun fact: Federer masih keturunan Afrika Selatan.

Gue tertegun banget sama jawaban Federer.
''Education really gives you a great opportunity to learn in life. It's good for your health, it's a human right, it breaks cycle of poverty. There's so many good aspects to it. It maybe makes a family stronger too. Makes you more aware of things. All these little things at the end become the most important thing.'' Federer answered.

Back to Match in Africa 6, pertandingan exhibition kemarin bukan yang pertama, tapi memang kali pertama yang diadakan di Afrika Selatan.

Looking back to my first EVER Federer-related post on this blog, it's clear that I liked him only just the way he plays on court, or how good he is in general as a tennis player. It's fascinating to me that my love and admiration for this man has grown SO MUCH over these past years. Now I see him BIGGER than just a tennis player. I see him as a father who always prioritizes family over everything, him as a husband who is loving and always recognizes his wife's support behind the great achievements in his career, him as a friend who is humorous and very supportive, him as a celebrity who is modest and tender-hearted, him as a philanthropist with a dream to change children's life for the better by his incredible work with his foundation, him as a person with the never-ending passion, dedication and love for the game that we called tennis. I value him not only as an athlete, but a human being, as whole.

There will come a time when his tennis career will be over, but when that time comes, I will keep supporting this man with everything he does, or will do, in life. My full support for him will never lessen, but always steepen. This man is what I aspire to be.

THINGS I INVEST IN 2017

I've been reading many articles that talk about investing in our twenties and why it's important for us as a human being. Those articles have opened my eyes that I, as a 21-year-old, have not invested so much. Fortunately I'm still in my early 20s tho, so I still have time to improve and invest more. And invest is not always about money. It's those simple things that will make you a better person for the years to come, like networking with people, volunteering, reading, learning new skill, etc. That's why my 2017 resolutions will be about some things to invest in me.  Attending workshops/seminars Through seminar I'll be able to explore, exchange thoughts and learn things from like-minded professionals. I'll be richer in knowledge and feeling inspired by the time I leave the event. Therefore, this year I'd like to start attending seminar/talkshow in the topic I like the most which are nature and wildlife. WWF Indonesia often held talkshows in...
